Dunav Insurance wishes to invest in the development projects of towns and municipalities

-First Business Trade Show of EMG held
This event was aimed at bringing together, at one place, the Serbian local government representatives and the representatives of international and domestic companies interested in investing in different municipality projects. More than twenty municipalities and dozens of companies exchanged contacts and experience in the area of improving mutual cooperation, which was also one of the goals of this Trade Show. The Show also included two round tables at which investments in Serbian municipalities were discussed, participated by the Government Vice-President Mr. Božidar Đelić and the representatives of SIEPA, Trade Department of Austrian Embassy, representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the company Colliers International. Mayors and the presidents of municipalities, which made the biggest progress in the development of their local governments (Kragujevac, Subotica, Zrenjanin, Indjija), presented some of their major development projets while big companies such as Siemens, Dunav Insurance, Colliers, Trigranit, IBM and others showed a great interest in the presentations of municipalities and towns of Serbia.
At the round table, Milica Slijepčević, M.A., PR manager of Dunav Insurance, pointed out the following:
’’The Dunav Insurance Company is prepared to invest in the development of local infrastructure through buying securities of towns and municipalities. The value of our investment portfolio is 150 mil EUR. The provision of funds for the regional development through the insurers is not a novelty in the region. The Dunav Insurance Company would buy shares issued by local governments and towns, thus contributing to the development of municipalities and towns through local projects.
The Dunav Insurance Company is willing to cooperate with all local governments which will issue securities in the course of the development of infrastructure projects. Numerous examples of close cooperation between the Dunav Insurance Company and towns in the area of Dunav’s core business represent a sound platform for the development of cooperation in the investment area.
The city of Belgrade is the best example followed by the town of Inđija, Novi Sad, Niš and so on.
We provide insurance coverage to almost all public companies in Belgrade, Belgrade Arena, JKP Parking Service, City Utility Services, City Markets, Sava Centar, Ada Ciganlija, funeral services, GSP Beograd, Lasta, Beograd put, Beogradske elektrane, Water Supply and Sewerage, cultural institutions: National Theatre, museums, libraries.
We particularly take pride in the fact that we insure thousands of pupils of Belgrade primary and secondary schools. In this area, we also wish to make an educational impact on the future leaders and decision-makers in different segments of social and economic activities and to show them that insurance presents a necessity and smart investment instead of just expense and cost.’’
